Kim Bongseon Encouragement Prize

Ms. Kim Bongseon has made a commitment to donate a scholarship again for this school year. “Kim Bongseon Scholarship” will be given to students who excelled at their studies in Korean history and culture and dedicated their talent and knowledge for various cultural events the Korean Studies Program organizes throughout the year.
Congratulations to 2020 recipients: Stav Cohen, Alina Sobolevsky, Roni Gott, Gebyanes Addisu and Shelly Paker.

2021 Korea Foundation Language Scholarship

This is a Korean language scholarship by Korea Foundation for 6 months (minimum) or 12 months (maximum) held at Sogang University. The scholarship is available for bachelor’s, master’s and doctorates degrees, professors and professionals with a clear connection to Korea.

The deadline for submission is 31.8.2020.

Commencement of studies in March 2021 or September 2021.

2019 Global Korean Scholarship

(Korean Government Scholarship Program)

Please find attached information on 2019 Global Korea Scholarship, from which the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under the Korean Ministry of Education plans to offer scholarships to nationals of participating countries.


The Korean embassy in each country eligible in Global Korea Scholarship (hereafter GKS) program is advised to recommend a specific assigned number of candidates to NIIED by 4 April, 2019.


Application guidelines and further information for interested applicants is available on NIIED’s “Study in Korea” website at > Scholarships > GKS Notice.


Please note that the scholarships are meant for graduate studies (master’s or doctoral) and research (postdoctoral, professor exchange, or professionals of education-science-culture-international fields) programs.


Interested applicants may find application requirements and download the application forms from the above-mentioned web address. All Israeli applicants must submit their application materials to the Korean embassy no later than 15 March, 2019. Only short-listed candidates will be asked for the interviews at the Korean Embassy.
